Booking Conditions

As a courtesy you agree to contact the restaurant if you have any changes, updates or need to cancel your booking. • All bookings with 9 guests (all ages) or more are required to dine on a set menu, any children between 3 – 12 have a children’s package that must be selected, children under 3 will not be required to dine on the package. Only bookings of 15 guests or more are required to pre pay.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from 5pm – guests within the Tropic restaurant are required to order equivalent to one main dish per person. • Dining within the Tropic does not permit entry to the Pavilion, and we do not consider bookings for ‘drinks’ only within the restaurant.

Charges & fee’s

1% surcharge applies to all card payments. A 10% wage loading surcharge applies to all Sunday bookings and 15% on public holidays.

Split bills are to be kept to a maximum of two payments.

Our Venue does not allow any bookings for 18th – 21st birthdays. A small family occasion may be considered, approval at the management’s discretion.

Dress code

Burleigh Pavilion and The Tropic’s dress code is smart casual. We are flexible on this during the day and in quieter periods. However stricter when busy and at night. If in doubt, dress up, or you may be refused.

Burleigh Pavilion is a family and community-oriented venue. Guests with tattoos are welcome at our venue, however, our policy does not permit intimidating, aggressive, or offensive tattoos, clothing or behaviour which may offend or intimidate other guests or staff. Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any person with a head or neck tattoo that is deemed inappropriate for the venue, discretion may be used on factors such as size and nature.

Regarding cultural or religious tattoos, we believe everyone’s tattoos have equal significance to them, and welcome all guests with tattoos equally, provided they are within the guidelines of our house policy stated above. Face tattoos are not permitted in the venue.

This policy is common among licensed venues and is in place to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all our guests. Covering up these tattoos does not allow entry.

No Singlets – No thongs – No ripped or dirty clothing – No hard capped shoes – No sports team/club wear – No fancy dress up/costumes – No pub crawls – No Bucks or Hens parties – No intimidating, aggressive or offensive tattoos or clothing.

Booking information

In order to offer reservations to as many guests as possible we have implemented the below dine times, all bookings are required to adhere to these. a. 1 – 7 people – 2 hours b. 8 – 14 people – 2.5 hours c. 15 – 45 people – 3 hours

It is the guest’s responsibility to be on time for their reservation, we cannot extend a booking if you are running late due to accommodating two sittings per service.

We never guarantee tables on the terrace, be sure to include in your booking notes to better your chances. Any special requests made will be catered for by the venue as best as possible.

Decoration & theming

The Tropic restaurant does not allow any outlandish decorations or games. The Tropic does not allow any balloons or confetti as we aim to protect Burleigh Pavilion’s surrounding environment from waste. Please be in touch in advance if you have any out of the ordinary requests inc, gift bags, party favours as these must be approved prior to the booking.

No professional photography is permitted during trading hours. This is to be arranged with the Event Manager for a time outside of our trading hours.
